When are Extra External Speakers Needed for a Jukebox Hire?

We hire Jukeboxes to all sorts of different sized events up and down the country.

We hire to private homes, marquees at peoples houses, village halls, hotels, exhibition centres and more. As we drive round the country we note that after some 30 years and 400 hires a year we have delivered to just about every venue in the country.

All of our Jukeboxes including the Elvis, Spaceman, Digital Nostalgia, Digital Americana, CD Manhattan, Cd Americana and Jukebox In a Box have built in speakers. Generally this will provide great sound for parties and events.

However, for full on dancing parties that are held in Marquees, Big Hotel Function rooms and where say over 100 people may attend we generally recommend the hiring of additional external speakers. As I write these are hired out at £45.00 plus vat and with this you can have another free item that is priced at £45.00 plus vat. So very often customers hire an additional speakers and lights package at an all in price of £45.00 plus vat.

With the additional speakers you get a much fuller sound, can obviously go much louder and can also direct sound to areas away from the jukebox. For instance people will sometimes have speakers set out on the patio at a home party, whilst the jukebox is positioned inside the house.

What is hand also – its that all of our jukeboxes are supplied with twin channel volume controls. This then means that you can set the volume at the jukebox to a different level to the external speakers.

Also – it may sound daft but you can actually have a lower volume with the external speakers but hear the music better. With the additional speakers (we usually supply two additional speakers) these can be used to surround the dance floor and then the jukebox doesn’t have to be turned up quite so loud for everyone on the dance floor to hear the jukebox at the level that is needed.

We also get asked on occasion “How Loud Will the Jukebox Go?”. I think sometimes people are worried that the sound will not be comparable to what a DJ or live band might go to. Our reply is that with the additional speakers the volume will be more than loud enough. Chances are you wont use all of the volume available to you. Our jukeboxes are professional commercial jukeboxes and all have powerful commercial pro amplifiers built into them.
