We saw this news article below and it reminded us of a Jukebox hire we did to care home -which was some years back now.

This Middlesborough Care Home has built a bar inside the home for the residents. It has a Jukebox and lots of other pub related items. By all accounts the resident love it. Well done to the Care Home.
Our story is that we were booked to hire a Jukebox to a care home to celebrate their 50th birthday. When we normally deliver Jukeboxes we get a fun reaction and its just something that puts a smile on people’s faces and it is something that people – staff etc are please to see. However, when we delivered this one we got next to no reaction at all. The staff seemed worn out and disinterested and the residents were largely sitting around in armchairs and paid no attention.
However, it was a different story when we went to collect it.
The place had come alive.
People were dancing – there were a lot of smiles and even a mini revolt with one resident jokingly trying to stop us taking it. It was brilliant and just shows the power of music, fun and memories combined.
We had loaded the jukebox with predominately rock n roll and hits of 1940s and 1950s.
We have subsequently hired a number of Jukeboxes to care homes and the reaction is always the same.
