We are providing an American style pool table for a weekends promotion in Leeds Town centre.
An Americana Pool Table is bigger than its UK counterpart.
The American tables measure 9ft in length by 4ft in width – although the actual playing surface is smaller at around 8.5ft by 4ft depending on the build of the cushions etc.
The cushions themselves are also different in that they are usually wedge shaped at the playfield side – which creates a bigger bounce (UK cushions are much flatter)
The balls are also bigger on an American Pool table at 2 3/4 ”
American pool tables are usually played with Spots and Stripes and the familiar No.8 Black Ball as opposed to the reds and yellows used in UK leagues.
